Curlformers question???

I want to use them, but I have some questions. I want to use the long & extra wide (I have layered hair and longest part is 3in past my shoulders. Shortest is middle of ear) and I want to know a couple of things:

1) I want to put them in damp hair and sit under the dryer, but since Im black, I don't want it to get frizzy. What products should I put on my hair before to keep it from getting nappy and frizzy?? Do I use wraping lotion??? If so, what about motions?

2) Is that size good for my hair?

3) Has anyone else used curlformers??? If so, do you use both colors of a size or just one (you will only know what Im talking about if you read it on either the box or the website)? If so, then how do you put them in??? One color on one side and the other on the opposite side or do you mix them???
