My Boyfirend is upset because i cut my hair without his consent, what do you think about that?

Is it me or isn't it ridiculous that my boyfriend today found out I cut my hair short (it looks great) and now he "doesn't want to see me until it grows back"(exaggerate).

Hes upset about the fact that i went to cut it after he had mentioned before that he likes me with my hair long. He put up this huge fight over the phone about "why did I do it when he said he didn't want me to cut it", now hes giving me the cold shoulder not calling me.

Am i wrong for what i did, or is he too high strung? How should I deal?

P.S. My hair really needed a cut, I didn't do it to upset him.

He sounds like a controlling jerk who can't handle when he feels you don't honor his opinion above all others, including yours. He should love you no matter what length of hair you have or whether or not he likes your current hair cut. Be careful that you don't become afraid to disappoint him, this could be him manipulating you into always doing what he wants.

Seriously, he is being a baby. He should be happy his girlfriend takes care of her hair. Don't sweat it, cuz if he really is actually THAT superficial he doesn't need a girlfriend til he can see past a haircut.
