Do you think my hair will grow faster if i stop staightening it?

I got my hair cut about a year ago, and my hair used to be down to the middle of my back i got it cut up to my shoulders and its only grown like and inch since then and i really want my long hair back but i straighten my hair every day (i was born with really curly hair) does straightening it fry my hair? does it break my hair which is keeping it from growing? do u think i should give my hair a break so then it will grow or is straightening it not the problem?

You may be frying it on the ends so u get split ends so looks shorter...but your hair grows from the top of your head not the ends...

except for that, straightening your hair can damage it and make you have split ends, stop straightening your hair...if yu want to then u should do the permanent straightening

what does help it grow faster if you pull it back in a tight pony tail (maybe when u go to bed) It helps pull and grow a little bit faster.
