Burgungy hair dye... should i?

i want to dye it burgundy with platnium blonde chunks on these longer portions by my ears

it this a good idea?

my boybriend and i are dying out hair the same color. if that changes anything.

I wouldn't do burgundy with platinum chunks...that looks like vomit, seriously. Go for the burgundy though. Also, not a lot of guys can dye their hair auburn or dark red and look good, so try it on small sections of each of your hairs first, then decide what to do from there.

Your pic was too small and black and white so I couldn't see your skin tone. I'm assuming it's in the cool-neutral family since you have dark blonde hair. Burgundy will look fine with that. Just don't go a warmer shade or red as this looks awful with cool skin.
