Hairstyle for Ball with African theme???

I am going to a posh summer ball soon and am stuck for hairstyle. The theme is 'Out of Africa'. My dress is quite a long slinky black/ glitzy animal print design (looks alot nicer than it sounds!). I need a hairstyle that wont look too poncy but that will look nice, maybe a little controllably wild and tustly. I have longish dark hair. have had a look on web but cant seem to be able to find anything i like. Thanks

Have some human bones sticking out of it, you could always complement the style with a small bone through your nose and a human ear necklace.

Why not tie a scarve animal print like a bandana or something in your hair. Lot of African ladies in S-Africa where their hair like that. You know the style that ladies have in old-fashioned movies and they are driving a sports-car , to hold their hair they usually use a scarf. :)))

Braids,,,,, small, and then spray them with glitter (hair spray-like glitter)......and use some black clips and put some of these tiny braids up from above each ear,,,,up to the crown...... and spray glitter as you go.... I did this style for a similar theme. AND:

not a scarf. a cool design of brade half way down your head and a bit of curl for the rest of your hair. very easy to manage and will last until the next day. have a great night.
